Social Health Inequalities and Equity

The SG Equity and Social Health Inequities mission is to foster a research network complementary to the existing Montréal network, while focusing on social health inequities existing in rural areas within groups of Aboriginal people in small and medium cities.

The mission of the group aims to:

  • Promote and support research teams
  • Help structure the research on social health inequities in the province of Québec
  • Ease the funding process
  • Support knowledge sharing regarding social health inequities between different regions and research groups in the province of Quebec

Objectives of the Grouping

 

  1. Increase the cross-institution, interdisciplinary and intersectoral research capacities focused on social health inequities while being complementary to the existing capacities
  2. Support social health inequities initiatives: "initiative structurante" and "initiative porteuse"
  3. Promote knowledge sharing in the field of social health inequities

FR/EN - Appel de propositions d’initiative structurante - L'avenir de la santé publique / The Future of Public Health

Cet appel est adressé aux chercheur.euse.s régulier.ière.s et les invitent à se pencher sur les défis et les opportunités de l'avenir de la santé publique. Il cherche à susciter des projets de recherche centrés sur les inégalités sociales de santé amplifiées par la pandémie de COVID-19, les dilemmes éthiques découlant de l'utilisation accrue des nouvelles technologies, et les problématiques d'équité d'accès à la santé. This call is addressed to regular researchers, inviting them to consider the challenges and opportunities facing the future of public health.

FR/EN - Appel de propositions d’initiative structurante- Changements climatiques et éco-anxiété / Climate change and eco-anxiety

L'objectif de cet appel à propositions est de financer des projets de recherche structurants, multidisciplinaires, intersectoriels et collaboratifs entre chercheur.euse.s, partenaires institutionnels et communautaires sur la problématique des changements climatiques et de l'équité en santé des populations, et en particulier sur l'éco-anxiété. The objective of this call for proposals is to fund structuring, multidisciplinary, intersectoral and collaborative research projects between researchers, institutional and community partners on the issue of climate change and health equity for populations, particularly the impact on mental health and eco-anxiety.

Cet appel est destiné aux chercheur.euse.s régulier.ère.s du RRSPQ, avec l'objectif de développer un projet de recherche structurant sur les questions liées au vieillissement et à la santé des populations. The goal of this competition is to allow researchers from different sites and sectors in Quebec to develop a structuring research project focused on issues related to aging.
