Objectives:
At the end of the conference, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and define diverse perspectives of trauma
  • Outline strategies to foster, build and strengthen community connections
  • Put into practice clinical skills to work with client from diverse communities
  • Incorporate the principles of reflective practice in client care and community work
  • Recognize the role of race and identity in shaping the societal climate and address its impact on the mental health and well-being of clients
